We need another blog about fighting like...well you know...
There is enough (maybe too much) opinion, rants, rages, news and notes on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, and Sports Performance on the web. And there are plenty of keyboard warriors that go with them. For those of you that know me, you are probably asking: why am I adding to the noise?
Primarily to purge some stuff from my own melon. I need to relieve some space.
But I enjoy (often relish) questioning conventional wisdom and philosophizing about alternative thinking and behavior. And I want to do that here and relate it to BJJ and MMA. This blog is a gift of exploration to open your minds to see the Full Iceberg (hey I had to fit this in somehow) regarding our sports. I want to challenge your thinking and beliefs and be challenged in return.
This will not be a "what's the best submission from this position" or "who is going to win in a fight, GSP or Lesner" style blog. Administering this type of advice or arguments is of no interest to me. I teach technique, in person, at my academy. I may have the occasional debate over who is better and why, but that isn't worth publishing. What you can expect is a mixture of observation, philosophy, actual experience, and even some weirdness, with the intent to make you better then you were yesterday.
For those people who do not know me, here is a short biography. In reality, I am just a guy who has trained and fought for a long time with some really really good people and got to start my own academy that now has some really really good people. That's it, fairly simple. But over time, through this vehicle, you and I may get to know one another better. That would be cool.
